the human destructive gene

probably the saddest human irony is this:

"the earth would be such a perfect place for humans to live in, if it weren't for one thing: humans."

how is it possible that with all our good intentions, the world is ending up in the sorry state that it is now in? our species has come up with a plethora of ideas to improve the quality of life, but unfortunately, with dire consequences for the planet.

reminiscent of a greek tragedy, some irate god or goddess may have inflicted this curse upon humans. i have yet to read any record of this in mythology books, but i feel certain my theory is right. what else will explain why we seem destined to destroy ourselves with the same speed that we create ways to ensure our survival?

centuries ago, our forebears considered themselves blessed to have lived past 40 years old if spared from tuberculosis and the like. now, our extensive medical talents have allowed us to almost double that life expentancy.

i want to cry, yet i laugh

i want to cry, yet i laugh
i want to die, yet i grasp

at the feeble threads of my life
unable to let go of this thing
that doesn't want me

i try to cry, still i laugh
i try to die, but i'm trapped

having no money

terrible to admit, but my family is undergoing financial turmoil right now. it is not a delightful feeling to feel the need to declare bankruptcy, rob a bank, jump off a cliff, drive off the highest flyover... ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

money is a simple wisp of paper, and yet to feel that you are literally dying because of it is a unique sorrow all its own....

Why?

oh man. this is going to be a negative blog. way too negative to be of any help to anyone who is already feeling distraught, dismayed, disappointed, discouraged.

so why? why write this blog?

why not? this blog is the only thing who can listen to me explore the darkest corners of my muddled head, and not pass judgment.

and hey, you're not supposed to be here reading this, anyway....
